Fraser Fir: "The Lexus" of the Christmas tree industry. Short needle, very long lasting, up to eight weeks inside.
Balsam Fir: Short needle, very fragrant and long lasting.
Scotch Pine: Medium length needle, wider than the firs and decorates very well. Fairly long lasting.
White Pine: Longer, soft needle, smooth bark on trunk. Very long lasting.
Colorado Spruce: Usually has a bluish tint. Medium length needles. Does not last as long as other varieties.
Note: No more than 12 hours before you set up your tree, make a fresh cut at the bottom of the trunk. Then you must keep water in the stand. We suggest getting the tree netted and bringing the tree into the house with the net on. It will set up much easier.
